So I just passed my two months of ownership and I continue to be impressed with my Oval XL. Today highlighted this as I was slow cooking some stuff loin at 250F. I usually babysit, fussing, mussing with everything (gasser, offset and yes even my primo needing it or not). I got her up to temp and put in loins, stablized at 256F and was happy. Got a call and had to go help mother in-law out as she slipped on ice (she is banged up but okay). Ran to Wallyworld to get her a prescription and back to her house and back to store, etc..

2 hours passed and my temps were still at 255F when I returned and remained so throughout the full 3 hours till I hit 155F internal meat temp.

I had read others experience with maintaining temps, but never had to rely on it without being around. Very impressed!!
